Being young means looking at life through a lens of feeling like you will live forever. In your younger years, it’s hard to feel like you could ever possibly get old! Time goes by so slowly, and you’re on this constant need to level up, reach new goals, attain new milestones in your life. But soon, reality hits and you realize that life is actually very short and that you should make the most of it, every single day.
To the best of his ability, Dennis did live out each Which is what this man, named Dennis Erikson, did. Dennis was a man that was passionate about two things—the church and cars.
Prior to his death, he was a very active member of his local church. Life unfolds so differently for each one of us. Some people have big families, with brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles. Others have families that are more compact, just like Dennis. He did not have any remaining family, as he was an only child, and his friends had passed away. Because of this, he left his biggest and most expensive possession to the church—his home. But as soon as the members of the church entered the house, they were completely shocked.
They learned that Dennis had been a great collector of toy cars for many, many years. Not only that, but he also owned a few real cars too. In his home, toy cars were stored on every inch of floor, bed, surface and nook and cranny. In total, over 30,000 cars were counted.
Of course, Dennis knew that his prized possessions would be worth quite a considerable amount of money one day and for that reason, really did use his two passions to create a long-lasting and wonderful effect on the local church and its members.
