If you grew up celebrating Christmas, you probably recall how excited you got when your parents brought home a Christmas tree or when your neighbors starting putting colorful lights up on their roof. Sparkly tinsel, holiday-scented candles, fluffy wreaths, what isn’t there to love about Christmas? They say it’s the most wonderful time of the year, and through a child’s eyes, it certainly is!
Mick is one of many Christmas-loving baby boys. In fact, when his mother, Hannah Law from Utah, went shopping with him at Costco one day, she quickly whipped out her phone to record his reaction once she saw his adorable reaction to the Christmas decoration section!
In the video, we observe little Mick with wide, curious eyes; his jaw dropped; and little, “Ooh” sounds coming from him. He may not yet fully understand the reason for the season, but he sure has a love for the holidays already!
And Mick’s reaction doesn’t just last a few seconds; he’s clearly so in love with all the shiny, colorful, lighten-up decor that he remains awestruck for an entire two minutes. I sure hope his momma let him pick out some Christmas decorations to enjoy the remainder of the holiday season!
Garnering over 58,000 comments after the video was posted on Facebook, many other parents disclose how their own children react to Christmas decorations.
“My 6-year-old and I hit the shops yesterday…we walk into one shop and it is fully decked out for Christmas…my 6-year-old gasps and says ‘My heart is just bubbling over with laughter at all these lovely Christmas things!’ Gotta love kids for their unadulterated joy…” shares a New Zealand mother named Samantha.
Another person comments, “Reminds me of my now 46 y.o. son when he was about 2 1/2. We entered my mom’s house through the garage and kitchen. She was in the living room just finishing the lights on the tree and called out to him. He rounded the corner and gasped then laughed and pointed and “ooohed” and “awwwed” jumping up and down. Sweetest memory ever. I still think of it each year when we plug in the lights.”
