After a long day at work, or when you’re going through a particularly rough time, a good bout of TV is exactly what the doctor orders. Indulging in a show or film that you absolutely love is a great way to relax and get your mind off of the stressors of the day. Given that fact, there are so many different choices to choose from when it comes to a night in on the sofa, in front of the TV.
And for many, reality talent competitions are a real fave. That’s because they’re not only entertaining but also have a way of inspiring us and making us feel in awe of the abilities that so many of us possess. There are so many motivational stories and people in the world, and these shows really shed light on some of them. Hence why the TV show, “America’s Got Talent” has proven to be so successful. Of course, some performances are more amazing than others — like this one.
Carlos De Antonis, a cab driver living in Miami, stepped onto the stage of the talent competition, not knowing that he would leave such a great impact on the judges and the crowd. Yes, he’s built up quite a reputation for his singing ability in his hometown, but nothing this big had ever happened to him.
As he began to sing the opera song, “Nessun Dorma,” the crowd was left speechless. He managed to sing the notes with sheer perfection and passion, and the raw energy could be felt throughout the concert hall. By the end of it, he had everyone on his side giving him a standing ovation which, naturally, left Carlos in tears. The entire performance is simply magical.
I think this audition has to be one of my favorite ones yet. It’s an old one, but it has stuck with me for a few years now, so that’s how I know that this performance really impacted me! What did you think about it?
