There’s something so much fun and entertaining about watching people get makeovers and comparing before and after pictures. Stylists and makeup artists can really transform a person into who they’ve always wanted to be, and the video down below is about a woman who becomes unrecognizable, after her makeover, in the best way possible.
Elizabeth is a 59-year-old librarian from Monroe, Connecticut. She hasn’t cut her hair in over ten years! She says, “I just brush it, throw a headband over it, and then head out the door.” She also says that her husband teases her a lot because her grays make her look old, despite his hair being completely white.
She further states that her style is conservative. She sticks to blazers, turtlenecks, and blouses—just plain and simple clothes that are easy to style with a jacket. Between working at the library and taking care of six pets, Elizabeth doesn’t have time for herself.
That’s why, after her friend Wendy got a makeover with Rachael Ray, she recommended her for a makeover too. “Maybe,” Elizabeth thought after being chosen, “I can actually change.”
“Sometimes you think you’re not worthy enough to do it, to get it. And then, when it’s happening, you can’t believe it.” She was feeling nervous and overwhelmed, but overall excited for her makeover. This whole interview is done before her makeover. Once it’s done, she struts out into the studio for the world to see.
Honest to God, your jaw will drop because the person you were watching and the person you look at after is not the same. Rachel says, “I apologize to the sound department but this is all I have to say about that,” and boom! She drops her mic to the ground in a classic mic drop.
Elizabeth, who’s smiling and clearly excited exclaims that she loves her new look!
Her grey, long hair was cut to her shoulders and was dyed brown with gorgeous highlights. They gave her layers and a swoop of side bangs. Rather than the simple clothes she was wearing earlier, she’s now dressed in sparkly black skinny jeans and cheetah print flats. She also sports a leather jacket and a beautiful necklace. They gave her modern glasses and got rid of her old ones. She looks gorgeous, and ten times younger!
