We’ve all seen twins that are so identical you wonder how it’s possible that their family can tell them apart. Even worse, sometimes they have the same hairstyle, and same fashion style, and well, they just make it ten times harder to figure out who they are. Think Fred and George Weasley.
Some—probably most—identical twins use this to their advantage. How so? Well, you, for example, probably went to high school with a pair like this. Naturally, they may have gone to each other’s classes once or twice just for fun, to see if they could fool people. The twins in the video down below decided to do something similar to this at home.
What’s even more shocking is that the people they’re trying to prank is their own parents. Goes to show that even parents might confuse who their twins are sometimes. (Now think, Molly Weasley.) So, let’s talk about the prank!
Twins Kelly and Karrie decided that they would prank their parents, Steve and Susie, for their 40th wedding anniversary. The family, including the younger children, all lived in Newton, Illinois, but Kelly lives all the way in Singapore. However, because the family is close, she decided that a twenty-hour flight home would be worth it.
So, Kelly and Karrie planned an epic arrival without Steve and Susie knowing. This is what happened. (Someone took the camera out and started recording to witness Kelly’s return.)
Kelly walks into the kitchen, and the person recording asks, “Who is that?” to a young kid, Kelly and Karrie’s niece.
Dad takes a look a Kelly, and of course, thinks nothing of it. “Look who’s here,” he asks as he looks at his granddaughter. Steve simply continues to walk by, completely unaware that he’s staring at Kelly and not Karrie.
“Is that auntie Karrie?” Mom asks the child. Kelly walks further into the kitchen, waiting to see if anyone recognizes her. No
It’s when Karrie walks into the kitchen that everyone realizes that the woman already in their kitchen isn’t Karrie!
Steve can only laugh when he realizes, and Susie screams, “Oh my God!” They both automatically go to hug their daughter, laughing with pure joy. No one could believe they didn’t realize that Kelly was actually standing in front of them. You can see in the video that they’re all a little teary-eyed. It’s so heartwarming!
