Girl Strums Ukulele and Sings. Passersby Stop When They Hear Her Voice.

Tennessee has long been known as the place to go if you want to make it as an artist in the country music world. Singers, songwriters, and musicians are willing to pack up their belongings and leave their hometowns behind. Moving away from everything they have ever known, including friends, family, and their past, they hope their sacrifice will only be one step on the way to stardom.

Many Tennesse residents are hoping to make it big in Hollywood. Perhaps they wait tables during the day and perform in small bars at night, burning the candles at both ends on their way to their dream career. Some of the best musicians are there, waiting to be discovered, and they can even be found performing on the streets.

When people notice these performers, they may stop and listen and leave a tip, or they may just walk on by. Most of the performers are adults, so when a tiny 9-year-old girl showed up in Market Square in Knoxville, Tennesse, people stopped to watch her just because they were curious. Those onlookers were rewarded with an amazing performance.

Emi Sunshine is a talented little girl with a huge voice. She knows how to play multiple instruments and how to put on a show. When she and her band struck the first notes of the song she planned to sing that day, the people watching were intrigued. How would such a young girl perform “Folsom Prison Blues” by Johnny Cash?!

Emi showed poise and talent well beyond her young years as she played and sang the song. This little girl is an old soul with a fantastic voice — she’s destined to be a star! I wouldn’t be surprised if we see her on one of these reality TV shows sometime soon! Simon Cowell, are you ready for this?!

Have you heard more of Emi’s songs and her melodic voice? If so, which one of her performances is your favorite? Tell us in the comments, we’d love to hear from you!

In the meantime, watch the unbelievable performance in the video below. Please like and share!
