Everyone knows that once infants reach the “terrible twos,” you can expect anything from temper tantrums to bursts of hyperactivity. But, that’s what makes the toddler years so thrilling; you never know just what to expect!
Yet, every toddler has their own temperament. Some toddlers may naturally be louder and more active while others may be more introverted. In the end, there’s something to celebrate about every year of a child’s life; that includes the good and the bad.
As for two-year-old Livi Grace, she has had a rough first few years of her life. After her diagnosis with osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), also known as brittle bone disease, the toddler has dealt with numerous bone fractures, has had multiple surgeries, and has been frequently in and out of hospital settings due to her condition and the symptoms that surround it from chronic bruising to bowed legs.
But fortunately, Livi’s past and current medical struggles did not directly impact her emotional or mental strength. In fact, in one video of Livi shoe shopping at Target with her grandma, she proves that she is independent, tough, and knows exactly what she wants–and not even Grandma could tell her otherwise!
In the viral video, which has earned well over 2 million views, Grandma attempts to try a pair of cozy slippers on Livi’s tiny toes, but Livi isn’t having it. Instantly, the two-year-old starts wiggling her feet in an attempt to deter Grandma!
“Can we try them on?” says Grandma to Livi.
“No.”
“Don’t you tell me no,” Grandma responds while pointing her finger at stubborn Livi.
“No, no, no!”
Both Livi and Grandma try to stand their ground, but the two just aren’t coming to a compromise!
Later in the clip, Grandma tells Livi, “Don’t you tell Nana no!” Livi responds with gibberish that sounds like she’s trying to mock her grandma, all while pointing her finger at her. She is so hilarious! But, just when you thought one of them would give in, the two are still going at it.
While little Livi never lets her Grandma put the slippers on her feet (at least not in the video), the sassy girl not only has the perfect personality for viral videos but also proves to us that you can still be strong, bold, and tough no matter what your life story comprises of!
