We all crave a little bit of attention, right? I remember when my little brother was a kid, he would be quite upset if everyone was busy doing their own thing, and he was left to play with his building blocks alone. He would sulk and pretend to cry (yes, fake tears) until someone brought over a red lollipop and ample amounts of time to play.
But, it’s not just kids/humans that always want to be the center of attention. We can say the same about animals as well. If you’ve ever owned a pet, then you know exactly what I mean.
Dogs, cats, and other household pets love to be the talk of the town. They want to know that their human loves them and are affectionate; this statement is more true to dogs than cats, right? But, what if I told you that pandas are the same? They like to be attended to and will do anything to make sure they’ve got the attention. Don’t believe me? Well, check the video below to see what I mean!
It seems like the video is shot at a local zoo. The baby panda is running around in the background when he sees a man trying to take a photo. The photographer is well-prepared to be close to the panda, he’s wearing appropriate boots which will ensure he doesn’t get hurt by the panda’s teeth in case he decides to bite.
As the man is kneeling down to take the picture, the panda makes his way behind him. Now, if you’re thinking he would stay put right there, then you’re wrong. After the cute furball notices that the man is still busy doing what he was doing, the panda holds onto this leg and tries to get him to look towards him. Things take an interesting turn right after this.
The man tries to free himself from the panda’s grip and as soon as he can, he makes a run for it. But, the little guy is right behind him. A small chase ensues where the man is in front and the panda is eagerly running behind the photographer.
This exchange between human and panda was fun and friendly, but it is safe to say that not all pandas are gentle. Everyone should approach them with great care and know when to stay a safe distance away.
