Not everyone loves surprises, but for those who do, surprises can be one of the greatest feelings in the world. The surprise has to be positive, of course, like receiving a flower bouquet from your partner, winning the lottery, or finding out they are expecting a child. Often, the person surprising another has mutual feelings as they are eager to see the reaction of their loved one.
But boy, was one bride surprised when she found out her groom had a secret plan to have a bird deliver their rings at the wedding ceremony! Fortunately, there’s incredible video footage to prove it.
The video clip begins at the opposite end of the wedding altar. A man stands there with a gorgeous, whitish-gray owl perched on his arm. The owl’s name is Bilbo. So, we all know what happens next, but the bride has no idea at this point.
Once the man lets the bird fly towards the altar, the bride is already blushing in awe at what is happening. She even gives the man a kiss as a way to say thank you!
But, the bird didn’t take the flight down the aisle just to show off (although, wedding guests were pretty intrigued). Bilbo had the bride and groom’s wedding bands attached to a light chain from his leg to deliver the prized possessions. While it may seem strange to have a bird fly down with wedding rings, the footage of the wedding ceremony was actually romantic because it was enticing.
Bilbo was the star of the show even after the ceremony. The wedding guests gathered around as they held, pet, and even took photos with the owl. If only Bilbo knew how viral his video has gone, and how special he made the bride and groom’s big day! I mean, the clip already has 1,600,000 views and counting; it’s definitely special.
Would you consider (or would you have considered) having an animal as the ring bearer at your wedding? Overall, what do you think about the concept? Neat? Odd?
