Stylists Take Matters Into Their Own Hands After Woman Says She Doesn’t Want Short Hair

While irrelevant in many scenarios, it makes sense why we fear change. It’s not that we are afraid of the good that could come out of it or that we are worried there won’t be progress at all. Instead, we mostly worry that the outcome will be worse than what it was before we made the change. We tend to automatically fear the worse; we fear the unknown.

In terms of appearance, this is one of the things many fear to change. A dye, style, or cut, even though our natural hair will regrow back out, is incredibly intimidating. On top of that, changing up our appearance shifts how others perceive us and how we even feel ourselves; it alters our identity. Maybe you can relate.

One young woman decided it was time for a revamp in her appearance. While she made it clear that she wanted to make some changes, she was also fearful and unsure of what she wanted.

“I don’t like my color right now. I feel like it’s too harsh, so really, I feel like anything will be an improvement,” said the woman with long, curly, golden-blonde locks. This seems pretty typical of many women. However, many seem to settle because they’d rather stick to something that they’re content with rather than something they’re in love with.

Just when we thought the woman was confident with going through with the makeover, she admitted that she worries about having to give up her hair extensions and having shorter hair.

But she went through with the makeover anyway.

With a bleach, cut, and style of her hair along with makeup used to bring out her most notable features, the woman was glowing inside and out. Ultimately, she went from long, yellow-blonde hair and little makeup to a mature bob. While the woman was beautiful before the makeover, it’s obvious that she felt more confident with herself afterward, despite initially being nervous for the big change.

In fact, when asked what her advice would be to others afraid of making a change, her response was, “Do it. It’s fun and worth it, definitely.”

I think if we all were a little more open to change like this woman, even in minor situations, we would be able to reach our full potential, and thus, be happier in the long-run.
