Plenty of little girls have grown up watching Disney movies. And if not these movies, then they’ve encountered one fairy tale or another along the way. While there are many of these kinds of stories that have been passed down for generations, there are some that have become fan favorites, like Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, Pocahontas and so many more.
Take Cinderella, for example, whose story has been told time and time again. It’s a story of hope and courage, and being true to who you are. From being the poor daughter who inherits an evil stepfamily, to meeting her fairy godmother and eventually falling in love with a prince, her story is one of the most fabled and popular. One many little girls look up to and adore!
And, when little girls grow up to be women, there’s still always a little girl inside. Most commonly, what we like as children still gets carried through into adulthood. Sure things mature, but there are still remnants of youth that we carry with us. We all have a bit of nostalgia when it comes to certain things, and for this woman, her thing is cosplay. A combination of “costume” and “play,” this community loves to dress up and have fun as their favorite fictional characters.
This woman is clearly a Cinderella fan, and she’s dressed up as the beloved Disney character before she’s a princess. She’s wearing her best Cinderella impression, a ragged dress with a rag in her hair. She’s got a light blue poufy sleeved blouse underneath, with a vest and apron to match. Just as the video starts to roll, she begins to pull at her sleeves, and untie her shoulder while spinning!
As she’s twirling about in a dizzying frenzy, she’s unlatching and unhooking bits and pieces until she stops and she’s completely transformed into Cinderella the princess! She’s wearing a long, layered, blue silk ball gown, her hair is done up and she looks far from the housemaid she just was. It’s pretty amazing to see her literally transform before your eyes! I wish I could do this instant wardrobe change every day between work and going out for dinner. This is the answer to a lot of women’s prayers. Also, great Halloween idea.
