Cheetah Jumps Into Safari Car And Man Records It Happening

I’ve always loved animals. As a little girl, when my other friends were playing with Barbies and different baby dolls, pretending to be tiny moms and cooking in their Easy Bake Ovens, I was holding adoption events for my Pound Puppies and helping them all find their forever homes. My favorite toys were always stuffed animals and my best friend was the family dog.

Even as an adult, I’ve chosen to surround myself with animals. Over time, I’ve learned to make friends with people, too, but my life is filled with rescued dogs, cats, and horses, and a good part of my day is occupied with looking after my flock of chickens. I consider myself lucky to have grown up to have the life that the young me would have wanted.

As someone who loves animals, I can’t help but be fascinated by all types of wild animals. I loved the zoo as a child and I still like to go when I can. It’s fun just to observe and learn about animals from all over the world. I’ve never been able to go on a safari, but I’m sure that it would be the trip of a lifetime.

Even the most mundane safari looks like it would be exciting, but Britton Hayes and the others in his group had a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with a couple of cheetahs in the Serengeti. Britton joined a group on a car safari and something completely unexpected happened when they stopped to watch a cheetah.

“While we were all watching the cheetah in the front, one of the brothers had flanked around the back and hopped in the back of the vehicle to try and sniff us and make sure that we weren’t a threat,” Britton told Komo News.

Their guide told them to remain calm and avoid contact. I don’t know how, but everyone kept their cool.

“Honestly, it was probably one of the scariest moments of my life while it was happening. I felt like I had to clear my mind of any thoughts because, from everything you’re told about predators like that, they can sense fear and any sort of discomfort you’re feeling and they’ll react accordingly,” he says.

Eventually, the cheetahs were satisfied with their inspection and moved along.

“We just, everyone in the car just looked at each other, we paused for 10 seconds as the cheetahs walked away and we couldn’t believe that we got out of the situation, that it was real,” he said.
