I think we’ve shown you a lot of talking animals at this point. We know that there are videos of a man doing a voiceover for his dog; there has been a talking porcupine who was very possessive over its corn on the cob and said, “My corn.” We’ve also shared a ton of footage about talking birds — this is more normal for everyone to digest as opposed to talking dogs and porcupines.
It’s amazing to know that it’s not just us humans that have the ability to carry a conversation with one another. We can also turn to some animals, and they’ll be able to ask us simple questions and respond to ours as well. Birds have the best ability to do this, and parrots and parakeets prove this fact on a regular basis.
I’ve seen talking parakeets and heard speaking parrots on multiple occasions, but this is the first time I’ve heard a raven say do anything more than chirp. This moment was also a first for the tourist who experienced this peculiar event first hand.
All things were good and touristy one day as this woman was touring a castle in northern England. Lisa and Mark Brooks were at the Knaresborough Castle, in North Yorkshire. Everything was business as usual until they came across this chirpy bird close by. As the 43-year-old woman approached the raven, she noticed that it’s actually talking! As soon as she got close, the bird chimes in saying, “Y’alright love?”
The woman was instantly thrown off by this talking birdie and wanted to film it so she can go back home and show everyone what she just experienced!
Aside from this moment being awe-worthy, this video also goes to show how smart animals can be. Although a majority of animals profess their love, loyalty, and companionship through their emotions and body language, there are others which can talk you through a lot. Some birds are known to pick up on speech while people are talking around them, and they mimic everything they hear. But, it doesn’t take long for you to make a conversation out of what the bird is saying, and it’s actually pretty cool if you ask me!
Have you ever heard a bird talking? If so, tell us about your experience in the comments, we’d love to hear from you!
