Weddings are a whole lot of work but a ton of fun as well. Well, they’re a lot of work for all the parties involved, and fun for both families and their guests alike. It’s also true that there are so many moving parts to a marriage, and you need the help of your family and friends to get through the day. This “help” can be moral support or ask someone to be a part of your wedding to fulfill a role.
Dad walks the bride down the aisle; a nephew or younger brother is usually the ring bearer, and then you have the flower girl. Brides typically choose a little girl that is near and dear to them to take on this responsibility, and I must say that it’s a tremendous honor for the little one.
I’ve seen so many flower girls be over the moon about their participation in the wedding. It’s great to see the bride do something special for a little girl, sometimes without even knowing how happy it’ll make her.
Now, I’ve been to a ton of weddings and seen various flower girls make their entrances. Sometimes they cry down the aisle, not knowing what’s going on, or not wanting to be there. Other times, they will accompany the ring bearer looking shy and timid; then you have those that don’t even make it to the aisle, THAT’S how reluctant they are when their big moment arrives. I’ve also seen one that walks a couple of steps and then runs back looking for mom. She thought mom would follow her, but little did she know that that wasn’t the case.
The flower girl in the video we’re sharing today is a little bit different. She’s not shy, she’s not timid, and she’s definitely not quiet. This small child is the bride’s niece, and she got the special honor of adorning the aisle with petals before her aunt walks up to her groom. That’s the job, plain and easy. But, this little one had a plan of her own.
I don’t know what she was expecting at the end of the aisle, but it definitely wasn’t the groom. Why do I say this? It’s because the moment she sees her aunt’s future husband standing on the opposite end, she yells his name and has everyone in hysterics. She continues to look at him and shout his name, and the guests don’t know what to do to help!
