There are thousands of cat videos out there with millions of views. There are cats playing the piano and with water; and then there are the weird ones that get turned into memes. However, when’s the last time you saw a YouTube video with a CGI cat?CGI, which stands for computer-generated imagery, is usually something that you see in movies. It isn’t something easy to do although the results look so clean and straightforward.
You may not know it, but according to Cracked, some of the things you see in your day-to-day life on tv are CGI, such as the cars in car commercials, nature documentaries, and lots of guns and b***d. Even the items you see in catalogs aren’t really – yup, it’s all CGI.
Anyway, the video down below is one of Aaron’s Animals. Aaron does videos about CGI cats and gives them little storylines, and the uniqueness of this has earned him more than 565,000 subscribers and millions of views.
The short clip – 14 seconds to be exact – is about a cat that looks incredibly real and absolutely adorable!
The video begins with this grey cat chewing some spinach from his blue plate, and two seconds in, his owner walks out from another room saying, “Michael!” At this point, the cat, now known as Michael, looks up with even wider eyes toward the direction where his owner’s voice came from.
Suspicious music plays in the background, and the dramatic feel of it all will make you laugh. Michael looks up with those wide eyes, and as his owner asks, “Did you eat your veggies?” the camera turns to him.
When the camera turns back to the table that Michael was standing on, he’s no longer there. He’s swift as a, well, as a cat. The camera tips up to find a small grey head with furry and pointy ears in an orange bucket sitting on a chair.
After a quick zoom, you can see Michael standing in the bucket, and perching down just enough for you to catch his eyes move quickly from left to right, just like a spy in a movie, ready to hide.
After making sure that his owner hasn’t caught him yet, he ducks down so that he’s completely hidden. The short video is funny and worth watching more than once!
