It’s so important to remember traffic safety when you’re on the road. You can be a pedestrian, a passenger in a car, or the driver responsible for getting from Point A to Point B, safely, it’s imperative that you know that your life, and that of others on the road, comes first.
There are reasons why cops have gotten strict on things like distracted driving, speeding (which is always an issue), and other traffic infringements that are never allowed on the roads. For those who get caught breaking the law, they’re often fined with an expensive ticket, and maybe a couple of demerit points. Then there are others who get away with their rash driving.
The video below is an example of someone who’s tailgating and doesn’t seem to want to stop any time soon. One driver is recording everything on their dashcam — they caught the moment the tailgater started his/her shenanigans on the road up to the time that the driver ahead of him had had enough.
Traffic seems to be pretty light on the highway when the dashcam records a particularly impatient driver trying to get ahead of the others. The driver of the tailgating car doesn’t seem to be changing lanes, which almost makes me think that maybe he/she was merely harassing the person front.
Well, the driver wasn’t going to take this behavior any longer, so they decided to slam the brakes and see what would happen next. Of course, the tailgater didn’t have much control of the car and instantly spun out, missing the other cars that were traveling on the highway and eventually falling into the central barrier.
This video is a good reminder of how you should always be safe on the roads regardless of being in a time crunch or anything else!
