Tiny Girl Sings Celine Dion Classic

“Little” Jackie Evancho is no longer a young girl. She got her start singing in various talent shows and performing the National Anthem at sporting events. In 2010, she became a legitimate star when she finished in second place on the fifth season of the television talent show “America’s Got Talent.”

As a fan of the show, I remember the tiny girl with the huge voice. She blew the judges and audience away from the first moments that she began to sing. No one could really believe that such a small girl, with limited experience, could have such a fantastic voice.

Even as a child, she performed like a seasoned professional. She continued to impress as the season went on and America loved her — showing their appreciation when they voted for her week after week.

After her stint on “America’s Got Talent,” Jackie began releasing more music. With the 2010 holiday release of her “O Holy Night” EP, she became the best-selling debut artist of 2010, the youngest top-10 debut artist in U.S. history and the youngest solo artist ever to go platinum in the U.S. She later released full-length albums, including “Songs from the Silver Screen,” her third top-10 album debut.

In 2012, she performed at the Music of the Movies concert and tackled one of the most well-known and challenging movie songs of all time — “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion. Everyone recognized Jackie’s talent, but it seemed impossible that she would do justice to such a huge, difficult song. But, any doubts were silenced the moment that Jackie sang the first notes of the song. Her performance was brilliant!
