Man Turns Bright Green Double-Decker Bus Into A 3-Bedroom Home

Weekends are usually reserved for shopping. I like to wake up on a Saturday morning, get some good breakfast in my system, and hit the road to see what I can find. It goes without saying that I love to shop for pretty much anything — clothes, furniture, decor for the house!

It’s always a good time when you’re out shopping or surfing the web and come across a great deal. Maybe it’s a 40%-off name-brand sweatshirt or expensive shoes that are on a buy-one-get-one-free deal. Who knows what you’ll find?!

One man, Adam Collier-Woods, was online one day in 2013 when he stumbled upon something he couldn’t pass up for a fantastic price: a 1982, double-decker Big Green Bus. Wait, what? Yes, you read that correctly; Adam purchased an old bus on the internet. The bus had reached a whopping 700,000 miles after being used as school transportation and had just finished up its final loop. Adam saw potential in the bus but not for its original purpose.

The Big Green Bus was refurbished into a snazzy home comprised of a cozy living area, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a full kitchen. Today, the bus resides in the English countryside and fits right into its environment.

Best of all, anyone can rent out the bus for a lovely two-night retreat.

According to Adam, “The whole concept behind the bus was to create a space where people can holiday in beautiful countryside, enjoy nature and the peace and quiet it offers.” However, the bus sticks to its routes, “There’s no wireless internet or TV on the bus and amplified music is not allowed on site, so a stay on The Big Green Bus really is an opportunity to relax and get away from it all.”

If that sounds good enough for you, consider booking a stay in Adam’s bus which is located in Southwick, UK. Rental includes cooking essentials, coffee and tea, matches and a bag of firewood, towels, bottled water, and more. Pay an additional fee for a hot tub to use during your stay.
