Four Guys Sing A Native American Pow Wow Tune In English

Music – no matter what your background is, what language you speak, or what you are accustomed to – speaks to us all in similar ways. Through music, we can feel emotions or relive memories. Music can also help make us feel like a new person. Regardless of one’s music tastes, one thing is for sure: it has the power to move mountains, in a figurative sense, of course.

One day, Antoine Edwards (who sits in the passenger seat in the video they filmed) and a trio of his friends were on a drive when they decided to sing a traditional Native American Pow Wow song in English to post online.

The video captures Antoine hitting a Native American drum along with his and his friends’ beautiful, calming voices that instantly grasp the perfect cultural experience all in less than two minutes.

In all honesty, from the drumming to the men’s flawless singing voices, you would have thought you were listening to an actual recording of a Native American tribal song as it is so soothing and uplifting. A fantastic, raw performance may have you fooled, can’t it?

As a bit of background, Antoine is from the Lakota and Umonhon (Omaha) tribes and resides in Omaha, Nebraska. As a traveling motivational speaker and rap artist, Antoine was the driving force in getting his friends to chime in on the Native American tune, and boy were they successful!

Fingers crossed that these boys will consider professionally recording this beautiful song! You’ll truly be amazed by the young men’s singing in the video below. If you’re like me, you’ll be hitting that replay button a couple of times without question.

Check it out for yourself, below!
