Talent shows don’t get old. I know all of us can even watch reruns of our favorite episodes of “Britain’s Got Talent” or “The Voice” and be equally impressed with the various performers, just like we were the first time around. Believe it or not, but I still watch reruns of my favorite talent show from back in 2006. They had some of the best singers on that year!
This video below, though, doesn’t take us back 12 years. It’s a clip of a very recent audition that Jaclyn Lovey gave for “The Voice.” Wait until you know what song she chose to sing.
I think it’s hard to argue the Elvis Presley’s “I Can’t Help Falling In Love” has to be one of the most beautiful songs to be composed. The rhythm and lyrics, matched with his unbeatable vocals, was something straight out of a fairytale; the song remains everyone’s favorite till this day.
Since the song is so popular, an excellent rendition of it is hard to come by because fans will always compare any given singer’s version to that of Elvis’. Fair? I don’t know if it’s fair, but it’s hard to do justice to something that is already so musically sound.
But according to the judges and the audience, Jaclyn delivered on this song and gave a knock-out performance! You can see all four celebrities instantly swooning as the 16-year-old begins to sing — they immediately recognize her potential.
