If you’ve ever lost your purse or wallet, you know how awful it feels. We carry so much in our bags, from important identification to medications, keys, cash, and bank and credit cards. Not only is replacing all of those things extremely inconvenient, but it can also be an incredibly expensive loss.
While on the way home from vacation, a teacher named Lindsay Jones left her purse in a Chick-Fil-A restaurant. She had already traveled three hours away when she realized she no longer had her bag with her. She called the restaurant in a panic, hoping that her purse was still there.
An employee named Darcey Cuellar took the phone call from Lindsay. She told KAMC News, “I was working drive-thru and heard the phone ring, and she was kind of frantic saying she was like three hours away, and she left her purse here.”
The kind staff had found her purse and were willing to ship it to her. Because she’s a teacher, her bag contained items like her classroom keys and school ID, which she would need right away. Casey Kovar, Chick-Fil-A’s director of operations, made sure to return her purse.
“He took my purse to FedEx and had it shipped to me ‘Priority Overnight.’ With it being a Saturday delivery, and being that I carry a pretty large handbag that weighed 7 lbs, you can imagine it was NOT a cheap shipment!!”
When she received the package, her purse wasn’t the only thing in the box. There were gift cards and freebies!
“Not only was my purse found by good, honest people, but they also went above and beyond to help fix a problem that was 1000% my fault, to begin with! So, thank you, thank you, thank you, Darcy & Casey, for being so awesome!!!”
