Disney’s “Frozen” made ripples at the box office. Not only was it a hit with kids, but parents and teens and adults fell in love with it too. You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who didn’t connect with the blockbuster hit. All sorts of communities around the world have managed to find something in the film that resonates with them. Considering how many universal themes the film touches on like love, loneliness, acceptance and family, it’s no wonder people around the planet could relate.
Even if you didn’t “love” it, surely you could walk away having learned something or felt a little pang of familiarity with what the characters experienced. Children everywhere talked about their favorite characters, Elsa’s beautiful hair and dress, Olaf, and of course, the music. If there’s something that heightened the hype of the movie, it has to be the music.
I’m going to openly admit that I’ve been caught singing the film’s songs on more than one occasion. And I am not ashamed. The lyrics are real, the melodies catchy and the meanings vast. The soundtrack was written to inspire – and totally spread like wildfire – and guess what? You can’t help it! Once you hear “Let It Go” on TV, you’re bound to have it stuck in your head for the rest of the day, right?
That being said, it’s not just “Let It Go” that made it to the “trending tracks” list. Almost every track from the film was a hit and one of these also included “Love Is An Open Door,” an open, honest and vulnerable song written about opening up to love and not shutting anyone out. In the video below, we have a couple who’s about to give us a special performance of this song.
The couple is a set of grandparents, so you best believe that “Frozen” is no news to them especially if they’re responsible for babysitting their grandchildren. They’ve been married for 28 years, and you can definitely see that in the way that they share the space and sing in sync.
Of course, they’re singing for their grandson who is sitting in the backseat, but the grandparents also seem to be really enjoying being in each other’s company and sharing this moment. It will bring a smile to everyone’s face!
