Only in the Big Easy would something like this happen! Known to have a penchant for partying, New Orleans is the colorful, cultural hub to let your hair down and get a little loose on the streets, on the sidewalk or wherever you can find a spot to shake and dance.
Tourists flock from all corners of the world to be a part of the festivities Nawlin’s has in store every day and night of the week. However, for some, like Officer Jones and his remarkable horse, Ace, they have to sneak in their fun when they can, while on duty.
On this particular night, as the officer and horse duo are patrolling the famously busy Bourbon Street, they make their way towards the live music on their routine stroll. Jazz Band, The TBC Brass Band, was formed in 2002 by a few young men who grew up nearby, and have been playing for the public at the corner of Bourbon and Canal for years.
They are playing one of their famous tunes, “Talking” and that’s when Ace lets it all out. This big beautiful horse starts to wow the crowd with his spontaneous performance, actually dancing to the band music, not realizing he’s got a lot of adoring fans.
Ace has got moves no one expected, and he is happy to show the world what he’s got on the “dance floor” that is the heart and soul of the city. People just love it, clapping and yelling and cheering him on. And, everyone starts to pour out and get their dance on once Officer Jones and Ace have passed through! This is one jazzy cool block party!
