It’s the worst when your smartphone dies just as your Saturday night kicks off. Your phone is completely drained, you don’t have a charger on you, and you’re expecting a message with the address of the next place you’re going to. Here are a few of the possible situations you might find yourself in.
The restaurant you’re at doesn’t have an extra charger (yes, even in 2018 sometimes this charger-less phenomenon occurs), your friend has a charger but it’s for her make of phone – not yours, or your extra battery pack is dead too. You’re running out of options here, real fast.
Fear not, there is a quick and easy way to summon just a little bit of power from your depleted battery, enough to finish off whatever you were doing, or make a short call, or fire off a few messages to save the night.
Simply remove your smartphone’s case, and place the phone on a warm part of your body for 15-20 minutes. Typically, the body produces the most heat from your hands, armpits and between crossed legs. So, while you’re sitting, you can clutch it between your two palms, place it in the nook of an armpit or simply slide it between your top and bottom crossed legs in your lap.
The idea here is to generate some warmth (Warning: Using anything other than body warmth is NOT recommended. Please play safe!) to reactivate and excite the battery’s electrons to produce just enough juice to give you a kick of power.
This also works for lithium batteries. Simply remove and warm up using your armpits, hands or crossed legs, and pop back into your remote controller or other any battery-operated device.
Saturday night back on!
