Dance is something that makes everyone happy. You can dance in a room full of people, amongst your friends, in the middle of a stroll with your partner (a romantic moment under the star), or in the comfort of your own living room, all alone. It’s a matter of when the urge to bust a move strikes. There’s never the wrong time for this, either. You can dance to your heart’s content, at any given time, trust me — no judgments, I promise!
In what starts off as a happy dance (pretty sure everyone has done this at some point in their lives on a Friday morning or after scratching that winning lottery number), we see Bosun the French Bulldog in a private moment by himself in front of a mirror. The hilarity is heightened with Ed Sheeran’s song serenading the gut-busting encounter in the background.
This is Bosun doing his famous one-man (dog?) show. Clearly, this little guy woke up on the right side of the bed. Correction: the best side of the bed! You can tell he has a perky and fun attitude today, and a ton of energy, by the way he’s moving — fast and swift!
Bosun’s highly advanced routine borrows moves from different genres and incorporates some very heavy, doggy emotion, like a surprise, when he first sees himself in the mirror. He pounces, probably wondering, “Who is that?! Go get him!” He jumps to the right, then “side-steps” (as best as any dog can) to the left, getting low and grazing the floor, his paws crossing over each other in some fancy paw work.
Then we witness curiosity. He is more comfortable seeing himself in the mirror, letting out a little, muffled bark. He approaches the mirror, wanting to get a better look, almost looking unenthused for a fleeting second before shaking it off (a la Taylor Swift) and running “off stage.”
Bosun busts out a couple more moves including some hops, skips, and twirls showing the full spectrum of emotion from excitement to fear, from happiness to playing coy, all wrapped up into one outrageous little doggy dance that will remove anyone from a bad day.
Does your pup dance? If so, what is her/her favorite song to dance to? Tell us in the comments, we’d love to hear from you!
