As adults, it’s often difficult to remember what it was like to be a carefree child. Every day, we face a list of life’s responsibilities like work, family, pets, and bills. We have tight schedules, bank accounts, and a neverending list of things that need to be accomplished. Once we’re old, independent, and feel that we have a purpose in life, things begin to change and sometimes, we forget to have fun in our day-to-day lives.
Perhaps we should take a step back and look at our lives from the outside. Are we too busy? Are we happy with our lives? Do our responsibilities outweigh the things that actually make us happy? Those are very difficult questions to answer, but maybe the solution would come easier if we looked at life through the eyes of a child.
Children look at the world from a different perspective than adults. Perhaps it’s because they don’t have the overwhelming responsibilities of adulthood or maybe it’s because they are experiencing so many things for the very first time. Whatever the reason, we could learn a lot from how children view the world and the approach they take on different things. One of these approaches includes being carefree and having some fun; children will smile and laugh at whatever makes them happy, without caring for others will think or say.
For instance, the child in this video finds himself in front of a huge group of people. It looks to be a beautiful day and he’s enjoying being outside. While many adults would be self-conscious in front of a crowd of 500 people, this little boy soon learns that he’s a natural performer. When he claps, the audience responds by clapping, too. Once he realizes that they are mimicking him, he’s more than happy to make the best of the opportunity and all of the attention.
When he smiles and cheers, everyone else smiles and cheers. He has the audience in the palm of his hand and his pure enjoyment of the moment is absolutely adorable. With his ability to lead a crowd, it looks like he has a future as a performer.
