A Second Glance

Danny said to BBC, “I noticed on the floor tucked up against the wall, what I thought was a baby doll. I glanced back one more time, and that’s when I noticed his legs moved.”

Calling For Help

Danny started yelling in the station for someone to call the police, but nobody responded so he ran with the baby to dial 911 at a payphone.

An Invitation To Testify

After a few days, Danny got a letter from the Administration for Children’s Services and was asked to attend a court hearing so he could testify.

Judge’s Proposition

As the court hearing went on, the judge made a remarkable proposition that it would be great for Danny and Pete to adopt the little boy.

But They Weren’t Prepared

Danny and Pete knew that they didn’t have a lot of room because they’re still living together with a roommate, and never thought that they’d have a little one to take care of so soon.

But Their Minds Changed

Pete changed his mind when they visited the foster home where the boy was residing and saw that he lacked attention and care, and it was hardly an ideal place for him to grow up in.

A Happy Family
