When the dance chemistry between partners works, it makes all the difference. Regardless of age, experience and passion are what binds dancer partners together. Ballroom dancing pair, known as Misha and Quinn, have graced the stage of America’s Got Talent. They are asked what their relationship is, and after a few chuckles and a slight miscommunication, it’s been established that the two are strictly professional. Quinn’s husband of 46 years is cheering her on from the sidelines with Tyra Banks while the judges ask for the couple’s ages. They were not expecting what happens next.
Handsome Misha is 35-years-old while Quinn is on the brink of turning 71!! At first glance, it’s clear why the judges are in a state of disbelief. Simon asks her for a second time how old she is because Quinn is a young, jovial-looking 71-year-old! She does not look like she’s in her seventies at all. And the way she dances? You’ve got to see it to believe it!
The two are wearing their best, and the crowd is ready to see what they’ve got. Simon wishes them good luck as they take their position onstage. Misha looks dapper in his 2-piece and bowtie while Quinn is decked out in a hot pink flamingo dress. The music starts and these two are all smiles, looking confident and appearing well-rehearsed. They’ve got their flips and holds, lifts and twists down pat. Misha lifts Quinn easily while she does all different kinds of splits in the air with finesse and elegance. They gracefully make their way across the stage, nailing every move, and finish their routine with Misha hoisting Quinn above his head then rolling her down to grab her and end with a suspended hold, latching onto one leg and one arm. It’s really impressive to see these two dance like this! Even with a 36-year age gap, they are unstoppable. Their energy levels match and they seem to work together really well, enough to get a standing ovation!
Heidi is first to speak and is in awe of Quinn’s kicks and the tone of her body! She is in shape and doesn’t let anything slow her down. “You don’t have an expiration date and you just showed that. And I loved what you just did.” Simon closes the successful audition by saying how inspirational and interesting they are. With four resounding yeses, the pair’s onto the next round!
