Technology has come such a far way since I was a child. There was no such thing as a cell phone and internet, and a lot of people in my neighborhood were just getting their first set of colored TVs. Yes, I’m THAT old, and I preferred the old school living as opposed to what children are growing up with today.
But with that said, it’s almost inevitable to not be in line with today’s technological advancements. As surprised as I am that children know so much about iPhones, tablets, and the computer, it always amazes me when parents are equally well-versed with these devices. They’ve now learned it all, but if there’s something that will always catch kids off guard is when their parents (especially mom!) send them a text.
Seeing “Mom” come up on your screen when you receive a text message can be haunting, surprising, and some what exciting—you always want to know what silly, technological mistake mom may have made while sending you that text, right? Sometimes that fact that mom got it all right throws you off a bit, but then there are some moms who not only have the ability to shock you but also give you a good laugh!
In the text messages shared below are perfect examples of what happens when moms start texting, and the hilarity that (sometimes) ensues, every time you get a text from your mother.
